Tip Calculator
Settle the check in seconds: pick a tip percentage, split between any number of people, and see the tip, the total and what everyone owes. Results update live as you type.
The tip is a simple percentage of the bill. In the US, 15–20% is the customary range for sit-down restaurants, with 18–20% common for good service; delivery drivers typically get 10–20%, and bartenders $1–2 per drink or 15–20% of the tab.
Most Americans calculate the tip on the pre-tax amount, though tipping on the total is common too — the difference is small. When splitting, the tool divides both the tip and the grand total evenly so nobody overpays.
